Frequently Asked Questions - Car Control and Fleet Safety Course
When should I attend a course?
As soon as you gain your Provisional Licence is the ideal time. Drivers of all ages have completed the course, some have expressed the view that they wished something like this had been available to them before they found out about life on the road the hard way!

Where are the courses held?
It has been proven that this type of course is most effective when conducted in controlled conditions. Therefore, our private venues have been selected as the best available for our purposes. The training grounds closely resemble the public roads and we have a range of surfaces to suit each exercise. Courses are held regularly on weekdays and on selected weekends at venues listed on the accompanying date schedule. The programme can also be conducted interstate depending on the requirements of our Corporate Clientele.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes
, indeed. Each person is carefully evaluated by his or her instructor and Peter Finlay personally completes final certificates which may be accepted by your insurance company for premium/excess reductions. Young & Cool Insurance offers special rates for its clients.

Whose car will I drive?
You need to supply your own or your Company vehicle. The reasons are twofold: 1. It is better to drive a car with which you are familiar and you will find out if the car has any unfavourable habits. 2. The cost of our supplying vehicles would put the fees out of the reach of many people. As we want you to have the benefits of this type of training, we require participants to 'bring their own'.

The risk of damage on the day is negligible, far less than on the public road and most insurance companies extend their cover while client’s cars are on the Car Control/Fleet Safety Course. This course is acceptable to the leading motorist’s association insurance company which may require policy holders to seek its permission to enrol in a driver education programme. It should be noted that the NRMA and GIO have used our services to train their own staff.

How much does the course cost?
The fee is $295 including GST.
Weekend course fee $295 including GST (no discounts applicable).
