Frequently Asked Questions - Formula Ford Course
What are the requirements for this course?
You just need to be able to drive a car, there are no age limits. You will need to wear appropriate clothing to cover your body extremities (arms and legs).

Where are the courses held?
We use dedicated race tracks, mainly Oran Park and Wakefield Park Raceways. These are hired for our exclusive use on the day.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes and a professional quality photograph of you in the car.

What car will I drive?
We supply professionally prepared Formula Ford race cars for you to drive. There are four cars in the fleet. More information

What safety equipment do the cars have?
All the safety equipment required for racing - six point harness, roll bar, fire extinguisher, removeable steering wheel. The cars are fully race prepared in every way.

Do I need to bring a helmet?
We supply a suitable helmet and gloves but you may supply your own. You may also wear your own race gear if you prefer.

Do I need to have previous race track experience?
No, the programme assumes no previous experience and is structured to increase your skill level.

Will there be other non-school cars on the circuit?
No, we have exclusive use of the circuit during our course.

How much is the Formula Ford day?
The fee is $695 including GST for an all inclusive (race car, professionally-catered BBQ Spit Roast lunch, drinks, CAMS-Licenced race driver instructor tuition and professional quality photograph of you in car and group) day of thrills.
